This assignment was to redesign a website for BreakAway Arts. The owner Mecca (Manz) Page wanted an artsy new look to her site and wanted to bring in new customers to her store in Hastings, MN. She wanted a responsive design using bootstrap and to have at least 6 pages.
With this project it had many challenges, I had to get all the information off the old site. I was the only designer and did all the jobs; user researcher, designer, tester, coder, and web developer to name a few. After looking at the old site, I did some research on other art store shops and then wrote up the creative brief and decided on the color theme. After checking in with overseer, I moved on to the site map then designed the wireframes and put everything in its place. Next, I showed the frames to fellow classmates and my instructor and updated based on their suggestions. Then, I moved onto the screen concepts and met again with fellow students and my instructor, and updated several times. After that was complete I coded the design in Dreamweaver, and presented it to my classmates several times, updating as needed and testing several times. Finally, I uploaded the site to be viewed.
